Someone like Justin Wilcox. I just couldn't pick Wilcox since I am user-controlling UGA and that would create problems...

The problem is I have two stipulations: I don't want a spread OC and I don't want to begin in the SEC. The reason is I am also going to be user-controlling UGA and FSU for the first two or three seasons. So...

Is there a defensive coordinator or pro-style offensive coordinator (around 35 or 36) who is at a cellar dwellar or weak school that is just starting out there?
Yah not sure. Haven't really put a lot of research into it just gave you off top of my head. I would say the closest you will find to Wilcox would be like a Eric Bienemy but he is 41. Is a great school to rebuild though. With great entrance and always like the gold on black uniforms.

Others I can think of are maybe Utah's Kalani Sitake (is 35) but been DC since 2009. Also a team moving conferences could be interesting.

TCU's Jarrett Anderson is under 40 but has been Co-OC since 2009.

Oh it just hit me. Brandon Doman is in his first year with BYU and is only 34.

Manny Diaz at Texas is young too but has been DC at two other schools. First year at Texas though and is only 37. Would say is the the best of the group we have discussed so far. Not a cellar dwellar but... same can be said for Josh Huepel at Oklahoma only 33 and is in 1st year as OC.

Go with Justin Wilcox from Tennessee. He's the guy that was the DC for Boise St. back when they were good(see what I did there?).

Re: Young, First Year Defensive Coordinators

Justin Wilcox would be a very good option. Although this is is 2nd year as the Tennessee DC, he is only 34. Wilcox spent 4 years as the Boise State DC before coming to Tennessee last year. If you really don't want an SEC coach, another option could be Chad Glasglow. Glasglow is entering his 1st year as Texas Tech's DC. Glasglow spent the last 10 years as TCU's safety coach and is installing a 4-2-5 defense at Tech this year. Glasglow is only 39 years old.

WVU will be hiring an offensive coordinator to fill out Holgorsens staff at somepoint. Even though he will still call the plays.
