Lately, they've been getting owned by ranked opponents. Let's just see what happens to them in the Pac 12 this year

i'd give that MWC an AQ over the big east. Boise, TCU and Utah can probably probably dominate most big east teams and that gives them the upper hand over what's left of the Big East football.

you could say the same thing about the Big East too, except, you don't have to remove anyone to say they'd be a mediocre conference. their play on the field the last few seasons has proven that.

I'd disagree here. Every conference has their traditional power teams (Ohio State, Florida, LSU, Bama, Texas, Oklahoma, FSU, Miami, USC, etc). But Nevada just finished a one loss year, Hawaii has been ranked the past couple of years (On and off), Utah is consistent, BYU has a Title, and SDSU is really picking up.

Granted, it is a top-Heavy conference, but so are most. And are the bottom teams pretty bad? Some are, like UTEP (Bowl Loss This Year) or Utah State, but others, Colorado State and Air Force, have had some success over history.

They were 4-4 against ranked teams dating back to 2008. Not terrible at all
