I think silver accounts have to wait a week after gold members get access to it, unless they have stopped doing that.

I know last year that's how it was, unless they changed something. I'll be d/ling the ps3 demo if that's still the case.

Create a new member ID. If you don't get the free 30 day gold option there should be the option of 30 days for $1. I just did this last night so I could download the demo on Tuesday.

i say gold, i rarely play online... but for demos, netflix, espn and last.fm its worth the $60/year

but if you just want the demo. i say stay silver

This is completely a guess, but I'd imagine you'll have to redownload the demo with your real ID if you want to get the pro combat uniforms that are unlocked by playing the demo.
