The first time I ran PA I was sacked before the QB finished the fake. The next few times I had to scramble and managed to find an open WR. I only tried it out of 2 back sets so it's a pretty small sample.

I'll wait for the full game before I make my decision.

Things to keep in mind:

1) Set it up properly. Look for "Setup!" in the play call.
2) Don't call PA on 3rd and 10. The line won't respect it.
3) Audible out if you can tell a blitz is on the way.

It was never broke in 11, you just had to set it up properly. The issue is most folks just wan to call play action and never run and it wouldn't work in game, well guess what, that wouldn't work in real life either.

If you look at my post on page 1 of 15 plays, none of those were set up. I picked random plays in random down and distances best I could. Never audibled out a play or anything. Its not a large sample size but from that it certainly seems like PA is quite easily going to be successful this year.

Having to "set up" play action for it to work is broken IMO. That's NOT how football works in real life.

Vick and the Eagles got huge plays off play action on the first plays of games this year. They never set it up.

Blocking changed on play action, and blitzes made it impossible--play action had issues in '11. If you run 10 dropbacks in a row or 10 play actions in a row, there should not be a difference in pressure on the QB. There is in '11.

I think there are two levels of the play "not working". One level would be the DB's not biting on the fake, and no open recievers. In this case, I agree, the play should be set up. But the next level is the QB getting sacked before he even gets out of his animation....that is aggrevating and not terribly realistic, and the reason I have rarely used the PA going back several years.

Is it fixed? I dunno, but from what I could tell from so far that I've played it worked more times than not.

So I would say It's improved.
