Am I an idiot or is anyone else having issues doing the quick replay? I'm on ps3.

Re: Quick Replay is BACK!!!

I remember people always talking about labbing on maddennation.com, back in "the day." I always found the idea funny, to just sit there and try plays. People would talk about "labbing" for hours, all in the name of being able to basically cheese online.

Eh, then maybe we've got an issue with semantics here. I'm not talking about spending hours on this, and I'm definitely not talking about cheesing. That being said, trying out new plays in practice mode before taking them into a game still seems like a wise idea. To each their own though - some dudes spend hours on here griping about facemask bars.

My only response to that is that the CPU isn't taking into consideration down/distance, etc. Play-action won't really mean the same. I've gone into practice and tried plays, and I'd see totally different results in-game against similar defenses. So I'd rather just fire up an exhibition game and try plays w/o worrying about winning the game.

Well, then the principle is the same, it's just that the venue is different, right? Given that, it would be nice if you could somehow simulate down and distance in practice mode rather than just selecting field position. Or perhaps the ability to consecutively run plays in a one-sided scrimmage-like environment. At that point it would be just like an Exhibition game, but you wouldn't have to bother with simming defense or constantly reloading the game once it timed out.

Practice Mode or Exhibition, either way a working quick replay would be a useful tool.
