Tricks To Onside Kicks

I could really use help with Onside Kicks. I have never managed to recover one in countless attempts. For example, what paart of the ball should you aim for? And how much power should you use?

Thanks

Re: Tricks To Onside Kicks

I can't remember if I put the "+" towards the top or the bottom of the grid. I haven't played the game in over 6 months. But I know I put it on the opposite side from the direction that I'm kicking. And I kick with full power. Go into practice mode and give it a shot.

I try to line up the "+" with one of the horizontal guidelines, but I just don't recall which one.

It's like winning the lotto! I tried practicing it about 100 times one night and I recovered 2 or 3. By the time it was over I was too dizzy to know what to do. lol

I got it once while playing the demo but it was all luck the ball hit the other team's legs and stayed there and one of my guys fell on it. I think that kickers in real life are told to hit the ball on the top third of the ball, so it makes the ball bounce real high.

What I do is put the little + upper left on the white stripe at 80-85% power.

Yours isn't bad either. It could be an Aggie or a Sooner. Plus, I love the new Tech/Baylor game in Dallas.

And FYI, I side with Mike Leach on that whole "crapfest."

Re: Tricks To Onside Kicks

pratice. i recovered a few but its all about where you place the ball and how much power goes into the kick.

you don't wont to over kick and have flying over somebody head to where they can't even make a play on it after 10 yds. at the same time if you kick it to the ground towards the leg you want just enough power where it can bounce off a players leg than back.

go to pratice mode and move the cursor around the football until you find your sweet spot. each spot requires different amount of power. its been a while since i played ncaa 11 so i can't really help you out. try to move cursor to top left corner and with bare power you can give.
