SPARQ is just simply the sponsor for the list. The list itself isn't based off the rating.

This seems useless. Can't u just look at a player's SPD, AGI, ACC, and STR just the same?

Not exactly. It gives you all that information in a glimpse. I tend to like the more athletic guy so if I see 2 guys that are both interested in me instead of looking through those individually I can just look at the Sparq rating and put them on my board.

i just went over the recruiting video posted by tgt a few days ago and these were some of the results i tallied. seems like an arbitrary # based on the position and the overall ranking of the player. speed skill players are going to be the ceiling...for instance, a lower rated WR might have a higher SPARQ rating than a higher rated QB as evidenced by the rankings below.

I don't know if the game is going to utilize the SPARQ formula exactly, but there is no way to tell since the formula hasn't been made public. That being said, my opinion is that the SPARQ rating will be useful when comparing athlete to athlete, but nothing more. You can't use it to compare a pocket passer to a dual-threat QB. Therefore, I won't pay attention to the "SPARQ100" for the most part, but if I'm trying to decide between two linebackers, the rating will be very helpful.
