Grittiness of football

In the demos, I've played both.... I've yet to see dirty uniforms, scarring helmets and torn up fields..... Anyone know if these are going to be in the final.... I could swear it was in the old PS2 Xbox days.... How can it not be now?

It was in last year's version, after a patch, IIRC. Perhaps with the demo only having 2 minute quarters, the uniforms didn't have a chance to get dirty.

We didn't see dirty uniforms last year until the release of the second patch. Even then, we saw no degredation of any kind when playing on artificial surfaces which I always thought was odd. I think several of the recent videos have confirmed they are in this year. As well as some pretty cool field effects. I was watching a demo replay earlier and was amazed when I saw puffs of field chalk coming from the field

Re: Grittiness of football

If anything, the uniforms in NCAA 11 got too torn up.

If I play a game at 12:00 in August, there should be less dirt than grass stains on the uniforms. These are not high school fields they're playing on, these are well maintained fields.

less brown, more green is what I'm trying to say.

Lol. I love how EA manages to pull cool features from a game, and a year later,
and them back in again and call them "new." Lol....

Xbox 720 will come out, and we will be back to no refs on the field. Then EA
will say, "And next year, we will have refs on the field."

HAHA

Typical "goofball company," as Dana White would say.

It really just depends how how long they have to work with the engine. Look at the games that released right when 360 came out. They were almost all terrible. When you boot up a new engine you start from scratch. Sometimes you get a good engine to build on and sometimes you don't. It is too expensive for a company to develop multiple engines on the same platform, hence 1000000 games running unreal engine on 360.
