What position do you like to control on defense?

I always play as MLB, I'm afraid to play in the secondary since I always get burnt.

to those who user LBs, how to you go about reading the play? do you read the back to the playside guard like a real LB or what? i ask because ive been trying to user my Lbs but i usually end up out of position or not being able to get off of a block

I struggle with this too, so i always use the safeties instead. If anyone has more insight of what to look for, that would be great.

The hard thing about playing video games is that making real reads doesn't really work.
In real life, the first read is usually the lineman (head up= pass play head down= run play)
Also the down and yards to first down is important, this DOES work in the game, 2nd and long? think pass first, but if you see something like Weak I with the fullback in motion be prepared for the run LOL

I love being the FS, I'm really good at that position. I like to pretend I'm gonna blitz in to psych out the QB so I can get him to throw at my side of the field and I just basically run to the WR and guard him and shut him down or INT the ball.
I tried to do it the same way with SS but it's werid that I'm better at it with FS

I always control the fs. He always leads my team in tackles and am in the top 10 in the nation. Get some user ints to but last year I struggled in that department

Nah, SS safety is for noobs. Unless you control the CB and have your eyes closed you must be a noob with no skill.

MLB or DT. i use to stay with the FS but I got torched a couple times for being too aggresive.. lol
