Online Dynasty with users that play REAL football!
Hey guys, starting an Online Dynasty. It will begin the day, or day after, the real rosters from Fairdale Kings are completed. Users will begin with 1-star coordinator, and work their way up. Conference does not matter. All users must stick with their original position throughout their career. (meaning if you start as offensive coordinator, you may never be defensive, as NCAA has the option to "flip-flop") Dynasty House Rules Recruiting: All users are required to play with recruitment assistance (in all forms) *OFF*. Recruiting is the backbone of the college game. Recruiting makes and/or breaks a program. If you want to play a football game that doesn’t require recruiting, then Madden 12 is about a month away. NCAA is ALL about recruiting. That being said, YOU must recruit your players, not the CPU. Users must recruit professionally. Users may not “over-recruit” a position, or “mass-cut” another. (Example: A 4-star RB is on the fringe between you and another user. You have 2 RB’s returning, and have signed 2 already. You may NOT recruit the RB in question only to prevent them from going to another school.) Starters-Subs: Users are allowed to start/bench players at their own discretion. However, note that using cross-positioning is not allowed until 3rd string. (i.e. If your backup FS is your 2nd best CB, he can NOT be used at CB, unless you change his position in the offseason. He is a FS.) Dynasty Progression: The dynasty will always progress a MAXIMUM of 48 hours from its last progression. The Dynasty MAY advance faster, assuming all users are ready. Once all users are set to ready in the Dynasty except for one, that user is notified by Dynasty commissioner of the Dynasty’s status. That user then has 24 hours from the time of notification to play their game. If that user does not play their game within 24 hours from the time of notification, the game is then simmed, and the Dynasty is advanced. If 24 hours will push the Dynasty beyond its maximum 48 hours, the 48 hour rule takes priority. (Note: I am not a machine. 48 hours is a *ROUGH* timeframe. It could be more or less.) Game Restarts: I would like to say absolutely NO restarts, period. However, I know that people’s internet DOES go out from time to time. That being said, for every restart a user has, they must cut their 5th best recruit from that season. (3 restarts= 5th, 6th, and 7th best cut, and so on.) If I, or any other user, notice a restart, the user is recorded. At the end of the season, we will look at the recruiting boards, and name the player(s) to be cut. Not to be out-done by simply accepting a coaching job elsewhere, if a user changes teams, they must cut the 5th best incoming freshman of that school instead. Dynasty Gameplay Rules 40-40 Rule: Users may NOT “go for it” on 4th down if they are within their own 40 yard line. If the ball is within the two 40’s, they may only go for it if they only have 2 or fewer yards to go. If the ball is within the opponent’s 40 yard line, anything is fair game. This rule is rendered null and void IF AND ONLY IF the team with the ball is at, or within, 16 points (2 possessions) late in the 4th quarter. Late is defined as 4 or fewer minutes remaining in the game. Go-To Play Rule: Any play and/or formation that a user has found to be their “Go-To Play”, and/or a play that they find is very, very successful, may only be used with discretion throughout the entirety of the game and in key/clutch situations. The play and/or formation may NOT be used on a regular/constant basis throughout the game. This rule applies to both offense and defense. (Examples: Hail Mary/deep routes, TE Stack Option, HB Screen, and blitz plays) Nano-Blitz Rule: The Nano-Blitz may never, ever, be used. Over stacking of one side or spot in the line is a known exploit in EA games. Nano Blitz is defined as placing a defender (usually a LB) *RIGHT* behind 2 DL players so as to “confuse” the offensive line and allow a free rush. Pre-Snap Movement Rule: Users must adhere to the defensive playbook’s designed player positioning. Users are not allowed to manually manipulate their on-field players’ position pre-snap. Note that players may move around slightly within their zone, or to better line up against their man in man coverage accordingly. Users may not excessively move any player out of their playbook assigned positioning. This excludes moving toward or away from the offensive line in blitz situations whether blitzing or to fake and show blitz. (Basically, for example, you can’t pull your right DE across the field right beside your left DE to try to nano blitz. See above rule!) Substitution Rule (No Run-Up Rule): If, at any point during the 4th quarter, a user’s team goes up by 25 points (4 possessions) or more, or, if at any point in the 2nd half, a user’s team goes up by 33 points (5 possessions) or more, the user is then expected to use bench players to finish out the game. If the user is up by 33 or more points at halftime, the user is expected to use subs to start the 2nd half. If, at any point in the 2nd half, the user’s lead falls to 16 points (2 possessions) or fewer, this rule becomes null and void. No BS Rule: At no point in the game is any user allowed to use “BS” tactics. Examples: Any rule listed prior, Running backwards 20 yards w/ QB on snap, Onside kicks in non-clutch situations, Running left and right in the end zone on kick returns, not allowing the user on defense to get onto the player he wishes to use (hurry up in time crucial situations excluded) All users are expected to play their games with respect and maturity. Users are also expected to play their games in a manner that is realistic, and considered true to the game of football. Penalties The penalties for violating these rules may vary, depending on the severity of the infraction. The lightest punishment is a loss of 30 minutes recruitment time. Your Recruiting time left must say 30 minutes left upon advance. With CPU assistance off, you will “lose” that time. The punishment is then increased in 30 minute increments, to a 5 hour max. The harshest punishment is, of course, removal from the Dynasty. I plan on having 10 people total in the Dynasty. I already have 4. Looking for 6 more. If you are interested, post your XBL GT as a reply. |
