Directional Pad

Is anyone else's D-pad Not controlling players during gameplay? I like to use the D-pad instead of the L3 stick. The wierd thing is that the D-pad works during all other apsects of the game, just not player movement. I checked out the manual and it states that both the D-pad and L3 stick can be used for player movement. Am I missing something here? Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: Directional Pad

also true for me during the demo...

I noticed right away because in NCAA 11 I would use the D-pad if I controlled a D-Line player (only time - find it's easier to push with the D-pad). So I dl the demo and try to play some DE...

and nothing.

Thanks for the confirmation. It looks like I'll have to get used to playing with the L3 button.

Re: Directional Pad

Yeah guys, I called EA this morning, and they said that you can't use it, instead you have to use the left analog... BUT they did say that if people continue to call they will put a patch in so we can use it like we always have! Try calling them to let them know you want it in!!!

Re: Directional Pad

Does anyone know if this will apply to madden too? I can't believe EA took the dpad out for controlling a player post snap.

My experience is it is not adjusted right for directional passing. I always use the left stick {XBox 360} because you can get better accuracy w/ that. I tried a hook route and pushing the D-pad down, so the ball would be low and only my guy could catch it, the QB threw it right in the ground and skipped it to the WR.

So... left stick only for directional passing!
