Teams playing incorrect amount of conference games in dynasty?

Anyone seeing this?

I simply added TCU to the Big East, and added Hawaii, Nevada, and Fresno to the MWC, and then sent New Mexico, North Texas, and SDST to the WAC.

So, essentially...Big East from 8 to 9 teams, Sun Belt from 9 to 8, WAC and MWC static at 8 teams each.

Yet in the conferences with 12 teams(13 for MAC), I keep getting at least two teams with 9 conference games played each year in one or more conferences?

In year 4, FOUR Big Ten teams played 9 conference games. 2 SEC teams, and 2 MAC teams.

"NOTE: These are 9 conference games PRE-CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES!"

Why? I'm just not sure if my copy is faulty or not. I might need to return this to walmart as I have not seen anyone else talk about this garbage this year.

I don't understand what you're trying to say at all.

Furthermore, a lot of those teams play conference games against teams in other divisions.

Copies are all the same, son. The reason nobody is mentioning it is because few have gotten that far or done the changes that you did or even noticed it. But I have a feeling this great feature of custom conferences that they trumpeted for months could turn out to be a calamity in terms of scheduling logic, which ruins the feature (adjust the Big Ten and Michigan will wind up playing Wisconsin the final game of the season, one week after playing Ohio State -- just one example). Hopefully they can fix it, but I doubt it.

Let me spell it out for you more clearly.

(In real life).In the SEC, an SEC East team like Florida plays their 5 divisional opponents, plus 3 from the west, one of which is locked in each year as a cross over rival in LSU.

On the game, FL played their 5 divisional opponents, and FOUR(4) SEC West opponents. Same with the SEC West team they were not suppose to play...9 conference games.

That gives them 9 conference games.

The same year in dynasty, in the Big Ten.

(In real Life). In the Big Ten, a team like Wisconsin in the Leader's division plays their 5 divisional opponents, plus 3 from the Legends division....for a total of 8 conference games. 1 of the 3 from the other division is a cross over rival, not sure who specifically.

On the game, Wisconsin played 5 from their division and FOUR(4) teams from the other division for 9 conference games in the regular season. The Legend team they were not suppose to play but did play also had 9 conference games.

This also happened with 2 teams from CUSA playing 9 games as well. There were also two other Big Ten teams that played 9 games.

So, for whatever reason, the stupid game is not scheduling these teams another OOC game and instead giving them a 9th conference game. I suppose it's minor but I like realism.

Yup, I'm certain it has to do with custom conferences. The issue I'm having has to do with it not wanting to schedule 4-8 teams a year the correct amount of OOC games I think. I do not get why in this very mild set up I did.

Cause logically you would think

ACC: Stayed the same
Big XII: Stayed the same.
Big Ten: Stayed the same.
PAC 12: stayed the same.
SEC: Stayed the same.
MAC: Stayed the same.
CUSA: Stayed the same.
IND: Stayed the same.
WAC: Stayed at 8 teams(did move a few teams around).
Sun Belt: Dropped to 8 teams(sent one to WAC)
Big East: Raised to 9 teams(added TCU)
MWC: Stayed at 8 teams(did add Fresno, Hawaii, Nevada, and dropped 2 to the WAC to give them 8 teams).

So, the only "large" change is that the Big East and Sun Belt did a switch on number of conference teams. Every other conference stayed the same numerically. Very troubling if something this simple gives the scheduling logic issues.

FYI, I worked on this feature and I can tell you that there are NOT supposed to be different numbers of Conference games for teams in the same Conference. Some Conferences may have 9 Conf games, and some may have 8, but every team in the same conference should have that same number.

Do you guys have the patch? We did find one issue where a seemingly innocent change (moving a team to the other division in the same conference) could sometimes cause the wrong number of games, but that issue should be fixed in the patch.

Otherwise, we ARE currently investigating this issue to see if we can reproduce what you guys are seeing.

One time when i relaplaced 12 mac teams with teambuilder teams and sent temple to the big east it scheduled 10 conference games for the team i was using.(this was in online dynasty)
