Re: Breaking tackles

You guys are right the spin does work. It is much less effective than it was in the past, which is good.

The stiff arm though really needs to be reworked. I've had hardly any success with it except for the rare occasion that the RB completely blows up the defender.

Actually all of the ballcarrier moves could stand to be reworked. The animations take to long which pretty much makes them useless. I shouldn't lose all of my momentum just to juke one way or use a stiff arm.

I've had some success juking early like I see a hole to my right or left I tap the juke to get me into that hole. Spins are ok success. The only time I use up on the stick is when I'm about to get hit I brace for the tackle. Though I've found bigger backs tend to fall forward when you do this rather than actually break the tackle.

Most BTK's I've seen come from the cpu with momentum and not from user input. Just try and veer the ls away from the contact and see if that helps.

Re: Breaking tackles

This year is completely different than years past. Without all of the suction tackling, you need to try to make people miss, not try to break out of their tackles after they already hit you.

Broken tackles aren't as prevalent this year because guys can actually hit you while your breaking out of them. You have to angle your body away from defenders, or force them into a bad position and make a move to go buy them.

I have a lot of success using double jukes in the open field. If they are running fast at me, I juke one way and then cut back the other and they go right by me. Spin move can work well too if you see they are taking a bad angle.
