I always laugh when someone suggest using sliders is cheating as though the only adjustments we make are to make it easier. Many times it's to make it harder. I've always played on a difficulty between AA and Heisman. If I was forced to play on default difficulty levels I would never buy this game because the game doesn't play well for me unless I tweak it to my personal abilities.
To assume that the two million who buy this game would all love it at the default settings is ridiculous. It's impossible to make a great game out of the box for all those people. That's why we have sliders folks. Everyone wins that way.
