Football is all about creating space and moving through that space. If you can't go where you would realistically be able to go to because it closes up almost instantaneously/unrealistically to the eye, then how are you suppose to know other than based on prior experience. It shouldn't be like that IMO.
I think Cornfed's point is very technical yet very true. It IS all about spacing and positioning. I do not feel that in real life that DB would have been able to successfully make a play on the ball to put him in position to intercept the pass. I could see him placing his right hand on the receiver and reaching around with his left to swat it down; that's probably even what he's coached to do in this situation especially considering the defense they are playing. That defender has no help over the top, if that does not get broken up when he makes a break on the ball like that, it's 6 points. In most realistic deep post situations it's the opposite safety that comes over and makes a play on the ball when the D is in a cover 2 and the QB makes a bad read, this is clearly not the case.

I see this a lot in the game where the linebackers are able to make plays on the ball as if they were all All-Americans.

As a past qb I have to stick up for my guy haha

Re: What's wrong with this video?

I guess alot get lost in the next gen idea and cant believe when a video game doesn't treat the laws of physics, matter and who else know what into account. Its not virtual reality fake animated legs will go throw fake animated legs at times welcome to the world of video games, where glitches happen and "cheating" evens the playing field. Population: Milllions who just need to put up with it.

Re: What's wrong with this video?

To be fair the safety was in a position to make a play and the ball was slightly behind the reciever but he wasn't in position to make the play that he did. I've seen much worse than that and I understand your frustration and where your coming from.

I love the fact that the DB teleported through the WR. Didn't see it? Just look at their legs on the slow motion replay.

Pass coverage slider at zero (0). It's the only way around this year's problematic super-human pass defenders.
