Sluggish menu's and interface

they put the espn graphics in the background with the yardmarkers that scroll the screen...that crap is probably why the UI is garbage

i would take black background and usable UI in a heartbeat

The menus would have been fine in say 1998 when we were using dial up internet, but not in 2011 when we are all used to things loading instantly.
Really needs to be addressed.

If you're on PS3 try turning off the ESPN ticker that runs along the bottom of the screen, I did this and it appears to have helped a little bit.

Is the 360 version significantly better in regards to the interface and menus?

Not a bad idea, I'm going to try this when I get back to the house & hit the online dynasty.

I will say that I've noticed a difference when I'm playing my offline dynasty and don't bother signing in (I find Season Showdown extremely annoying). I wonder if it's possible that some of the lag is coming from being connected to the EA servers.

I already did that on PS3 and the player edit screens still move like molasses. It was slightly better.

Just started setting up my recruiting board tonight. It's very laggy and far worse than NCAA 11 imo. I think part of the problem is EA is asking the disc to load the team icons for the Top 3 teams for every recruit as you scroll. If that's the problem then change it to text if it speeds it up. Do whatever you need to do to speed them up please.
