nope. I tried that first, with a 16gb flash stick that worked beautifully for saves and downloading.

It requires an actual hard drive to save highlights in NCAA 11 & 12.

Indeed not, and don't call me Shirley.

The previous post above mine is correct as far as flash drives go.

Your best option is to buy a 20-80 gig old xbox hard drive (you want an official one), open it up, buy a $5 xbox slim enclosure, and slide it into the bottom of your xbox slim.

Don't spend $100 on the retail 250 gb model. The old xbox 360 hard drives work just fine, and can be found for 25-50.

I opted for a $50 XBL starter kit since I would know the hard drive was new and it came with a backup mic & 3 months of XBL:

Here is the enclosure I used for mine a few weeks ago:

You can also use it without the enclosure.
So, since I have the old 360 hard drive still collecting dust, I can put it to use by getting the enclosure which will house the hard drive and connect it to my new 360, correct? Is there a cable I could use instead of buying the enclosure?

Yes, that's what I've been doing for the past few weeks with NCAA and it has been working great (especially after being without highlights since getting the slim model).

Technically you can just slide the hard drive in there without the enclosure, it just won't be as secure. Some people use non-flammable padding on either side of the drive to lodge it in place.

The hard drive goes into the bottom of the unit (when standing upright)

I suppose you could cut a hole into the bottom of the xbox, run a sata & power cable from the plugs (seated deep in the black slot), but that would be a real pain, and would collect much more dust.

I will head to the store tomorrow to see if Gamestop or Bestbuy has the enclosure for the old xbox hard drive. Worst case senario, I can order it online. So, if I do get the enclosure, I would not need any other cables or anything, correct?

Once again, I can't thank you enough for all the help you have given me.

Correct. The hard drive just slides into the matching plugs inside the Xbox. The enclosure just fills the space around it to make a snug fit without any wiggle.

The enclosure is a piece of cake to install. It just snaps together around the Xbox and slides into place in a snap.

Re: Am I missing the highlights tab in my game?

Are these the type of hard drive that would work on a 4G Slim? And what's a hard drive transfer cable?

Thanks
