Is my season ruined?

I didn't get a punter last season and had a walk on. Its a long story I had one on the board but lost track of my scholerships. I'm screwed? I did get top 10 class tho.

Use your kicker? Or if your really that worried edit him to be sub par / average.

you only need a good punter if you have an anemic offense & an average defense

You are anything but screwed. I only recruit one punter/kicker every 4 seasons. I will have my scholarship kicker who will be 70s-80s and he will play both kicker and punter and then I will have a scrub walk on. (usually the punter) Its a waste of a scholarship to give one to each a punter and a kicker. So no, your season is not ruined at all.

That actually happened to me in NCAA 11. I forgot to recruit a punter and so I could use my kicker but instead I used my 7 string WR cuz he's never gonna see the field, so after 2seasons, and his overall was a 82 and finished out his season 3 with an overall 87.

Put the kicker at punter and scout one for next season.
Punters dont really matter so it wouldn't matter anyways.

As a duly designated representative for the Punter's Guild of America, I would like to express my offense at the objectionable comments made in this thread. It is these kinds of hateful, discriminatory attitudes that our union has been fighting against for so long. Punters "don't even matter?" Do you even hear yourself, man? Have you no heart? No compassion?

Sometimes I think we're making headway, moving forward as an enlightened society where everyone, kicker, tight end, defensive tackle, even fullbacks, are treated equitably and with compassion. Where our differences are celebrated and we are equals on and off the field. But then I read this kind of hateful diatribe and I wonder... should I have just stuck with cheerleading?
