Option Running

OK, I have heard many times on here that people are having trouble with the option game, but in my experiences, I have seen it work quite well.

In my dynasty, I am the OC at MTSU and we run an all option attack (both spread and flexbone) I play in a modified C-USA, but this part year I have played decent teams from other conferences, and I have been running very well with it.

The only problem I have with the option is the speed option because for some reason the CBs are able to shed the blocks of my WRs and get in the backfield, but other than that, the triple options work well.

Re: Option Running

Yeah, I think with the option issue, just assume the CB isn't blocked. You have to keep it more often than not. Have to just accept 3-4 yds on a keeper. Often the CB is off the screen, so that doesn't help, either.

The WRs suck at blocking CBs, so I've found if you say close to the LOS, and let the CB come in deeper in the backfield than you are, you may get by him and actually make the pitch past the LOS, which is perfectly legal.

Re: Option Running

Yeah, I usually do just keep it. It just sucks that speed options don't work
