Wisconsin is pretty good. They're great year 1, then you lose solid senior starters so you have to rebuild a tad. Still a good team though.

I was also considering South Carolina.

This is my first time playing this game - which difficulty should I start on?

Leave it on Varsity, then move up to AA when you feel Varsity gets too easy.

They play in one of the largest stadiums in the country and play a tough schedule every year. They aren't the best, but are a good base to build with.
So I started playing with TN on Heisman.

Running game is impossible, my players can't catch, my defense is meh, kicker and punter are studs.

I'm 4-5, lost 3 straight including a hail mary to MWTS - what am I doing wrong?

That. you said it was your first time playing NCAA. Use a lower difficulty as mentioned above and move it up once you get the hang of it

Playing on Heisman.

If you're new to the game start of on a lower level (Varsity) and learn the in's and out's first. Then as you get better you can boost up the difficulty.
