Playing a night game at Alabama the other day, I noticed something quite unusual when the Crimson tide took the field. One of the fans had a sign that said "Sportscenter is next" which was pretty cool and felt authentic. However, another fan had a sign that was your typical ESPN acrostic that we see on every ESPN broadcast throughout the season but what it stated was baffling: "Extra Sign Phrases Needed!" Really, EA? It is as if a programmer was customizing all the signs and coming up with new phrases and when he came to the ESPN sign he was like, "Uhhhh...I can't think of a creative, authentic sounding message for this one that is generic enough to work with every team. Let me leave a note to the other programmers and developers who come behind me that we need to come up with a new sign phrase for this one!" LOL. Is this really a developer's note that was never removed or changed into a real sign phrase during the game's creation? Has anyone else ever seen this?

You know the perfect solution to this would be for EA to just go back to letting us create game signs like in the ol' PS 2 days...

I've seen it a few times but I'm not sure if they put it there on purpose. It's almost as bad as "the guy behind me can't see".

The guy behind me can't see one works WAY better for wrestling or MMA.

I agree with the OP that we should be allowed to create our own signs. We have created playbooks again but no create a sign?

I used to setup signs to mess with opponents and some with my daughter's name she got a kick out of...

I agree about Create-A-Sign being hilarious. I also used it to perpetuate inside jokes and taunts with my dorm buddies from college. In offline dynasty, I would create game appropriate signs when big rivalry game came up. I took note of which signs I'd see on gameday and such and then put those into my game for a realistic feel.
