Suction blocking really gone?
I'm not sure how to pull the screenshots off the game or out of dynasty wire, but I think I can explain it.
Anyway, I was playing as Arizona State vs. Mizzou in an online dynasty. The AI was running no huddle passing a lot, so I chose the Cover 2 Sink out of the 3-2-6 formation in the Multiple D playbook, which has the inside dime corner blitzing. Mizzou comes out in a 4 WR spread 2 to each side. Now, my guy tips his blitz pretty early and moves in towards the OT. When the play starts, its a draw play to that same side of the field.
My DB was set to blitz, and started the play lined up at least 2 yards inside the WR opposite him, roughly where a 3-4 OLB would line up. Yet, at the snap he charged at the WR instead of blitzing so the WR could block him low. It wasn't man-on-man, the WR AI pulled him in so that he could be blocked. Come on, I thought we were past the days where the AI had to deliberately pull your D out of position in order to make plays.
