breaking tackles in the backfield?

I was just wondering if there was a button or something with the analog stick that you can use to break tackles with the QB in the backfield? I remember you could spin and stuff in older madden's but is there anything like that now /or do the QB's just randomly break tackles or avoid the pass rush on their own

I'm pretty sure it's just random. If never been able to make my quarterback break tackles, he's just randomly broken them at times I didn't expect him to.
