Fumbles

Are there way too many fumbles in this years game or is it just me?

Re: Fumbles

Played a season w/ Tennessee, Total Fumbles: 5.

First game of another season with someone else: 2.

I think its ok.

Re: Fumbles

I've seen the other argument as well.

Re: Fumbles

I think the fumbles are fine this year. Most of my fumbles have been from a pocket passer trying to scramble down the field. Most of the running backs i've played with have had one or two through the season and the WR only tend to fumble on the huge hits across the middle.

Re: Fumbles

It's so weird with this game. People seem to have completely different experiences with it.

If I set my 'strip ball' setting to aggressive, I have no problem forcing 4 or 5 fumbles a game. So in my experience, it is a problem. Sometimes I even turn it back to regular to stop forcing fumbles and make it more realistic

Are you guys saying there aren't a lot of fumbles simming the defense or actually playing it?

Hmm I am not seeing an excessive amount. One or so a game. Seems fine to me.

USDA Approved.

Re: Fumbles

I've played 3 seasons thus far, two as the OC at Troy and then one as the OC at Boston College. I watch every defensive play because super-sim is broken:

Season 1 (Troy): Troy converted to a pro style, grind it out offense. No lost fumbles, 2 total un-lost fumbles. (But I hardly ever threw the ball so my QB was never hit enough to cause fumble problems). My defense only caused maybe 5 total fumbles all year, all on QB sacks or runs.

Season 2 (Troy): Same HB fumbles twice on the year, both lost. No other fumbles. My defense forces another 5 fumbles.

Season 3 (BC): 5 Lost offensive fumbles, Defense forced 5-10 (not all lost)

Overall I think the balance is about right. I have noticed that my HBs almost never lose the football and most of our fumbles come on QB runs or bad sacks. Since I don't play defense I haven't experienced how bad it is if you change the gameplan to be aggressive on strips.
