Re: leaving for draft sucks

I have had more success with talking players into coming back than in recent years.
I always talk for an hour because it is more important to keep guys that I already have than to sign new ones. Plus I usually only go after maybe 5 guys during the offseason because most of the recruiting is done in the season.
Probably 1 out of 5 guys I cant talk into staying

Re: leaving for draft sucks

dont run for 2000yards a season with one guy.

I always pick a formation and switch all 3 forms to (sub HB)

so you pick Strong, make the back up play

so instead of stats like

starter 2029 yrd 15 TD
backup 104 yrd 1 TD

try for

starter 1460 yd 8td
backup 730 yd 8 td

if you are up big, take him completely out. if you are at the 1 yd line, let the fb score, or let the backup take a shot.

I am a run first offense as well, and I try to share the load. They still might leave after the junior year, but they usually dont as sophomores.
