D-Linemen falling to the ground

I am the DC in my dynasty, and I usually use player lock, on a LB if it's zone coverage or a D-Linemen if it's man coverage.

When I'm playing as the DT, there's a particular move that dominates me that the guard uses. Right when the ball is snapped, and I go to do my swim move or what have you to get around the guard, he just simply pushes me to the ground. My DT just falls to the ground and takes a couple seconds to get back up (usually the pass is long gone by then)

I would say this happens nearly half the time. Immediately when I make contact, just falls to the ground. Anybody else experience this? Is it something I'm doing wrong, or a timing issue with the skill moves?

I have no problem with being dominated by a good O-Line, but this just feels cheap, same animation of falling to ground every other play.

are you going to the swim move right at the snap? try engaging the defender first. i used to have the same problem, but now it rarely happens as long as i engage first. but every once in a while your DL is just gonna get owned.

Timing issue. You are too late.

Re: D-Linemen falling to the ground

So which is it? Do a swim move after I am engaged with the O-Lineman, before, or right as I make contact?

I think if you do it before you engage with the OL, the game thinks you jumped the snap late.

Re: D-Linemen falling to the ground

You are timing the snap wrong. If you try that move exactly right when the QB snaps the ball you will be fine. If you time it too late the OL takes advantadge. If you mistime the snap, then engage the OL first.

Yes.

Sorry. FWIW, I can't seem to get it either.

Re: D-Linemen falling to the ground

Whenever I play as a D lineman, and I jump the snap with the right stick, said D lineman gets a face full of grass. The only games I play are OD, both of which are Heisman difficulty. In one I am South Carolina. Clowney gets clowned by any LT I've played. The other I'm TCU and Yendry (DT - 90+ OVR) gets faceplanted by 70 OVR lineman.

When I have user games, I am far more successful using a D lineman. When it is against the CPU, I just go back to playing FS in my 4-2-5
