Re: Air raid offence

Yeah middle, bubble and slip screens are staples to the offence.

Thanks Dr Death, hugely informative as always. I have managed a degree of success with the bubble out of 5WR formations, but only when the defence calls something stupid. Otherwise I'd already removed them from my playbook.

I've found WR mid screens absolutely lethal though, it's probably got one of the highest yards per play of anything in my playbook.

HB slip screens are another matter though, I CANNOT get anything going with it at all, any tips?

Also, can't see the username on my phone but thanks for the link to that Air Raid guide, that's pure gold dust!

p.s. What is scat?

I would not recommend entering that word in a Google image search...

AHHHHHH bhahahah I had to..

Anyways, as to what "Scat" is this:

Basic idea for you. Very quick passing play.

Typically it goes for a 1 yard gain, gets batted down or is picked off. So w/ a 1% or less chance of success... just delete this play from your playbook. It's totally useless in the game. EA has the WR's running too slow and once they catch the ball, it takes them a half hour to get moving again.
Actually, I have found that throwing bubble Screens while holding down L2 leads the receiver and I can get anywhere from a 5 to 10 yard gain about 50 to 60 percent of the time when the defense in playing zone without flats. Try it.
