Re: All people do is run the ball online!!!

4-3 works just fine against the run. It is all about fits, you have to control a LB or Safety. In every defense there is a man for each gap. If you are controlling your D-line and trying to stop the run it will get gashed. The problem is that the LB don't read their keys or explode to fill gaps. Since they have that little hesitation in getting to the hole, the O-line has time to double up to them.

Re: All people do is run the ball online!!!

It's mainly the "Maryland I"(two tight end set with 3 RB's lined up in a straight line) that all the cheesers use. And yes it IS cheese. Any play that is run over and over again back to back to back(usually no huddle) is cheese. Over half of everyone online uses this play at first until it is shut down. The defense I use to shut it down is 4:3 defense, cover 2, shift coverage down so the corners are at little off the edge of the line on both sides, and control the safety. After that play is shut down, the cheeser will most likely switch to a 4 wide tight set and run that cheese play until it is stopped or a 5 wide normal or 5 wide with 1 left and 4 right and run the same play over, and over, and over, and over. And if you disagree with these plays beig cheese plays then you are obviously the cheeser. Also most cheesers run 335 zone defense all game long. Hope this helped.

Was it really worth the time to write cheese 8 times? I've never ran the Maryland I, but I do run out of Ace, I-Form, etc. Sometimes I get stopped, sometimes not. Running isn't, and never will be a way to gain the upper hand by itself. Just get better at defense. It's pretty simple.

Re: All people do is run the ball online!!!

I run the 4-2-5 and have only given up over 100 yds once in 16 games in my OD, 5 of which have been against users who DO run the ball. The one game I gave up over 100 was against Stanford in my year one Bowl game (I'm TCU) where Andrew Luck went 2-7 for 62 yds and they, and as a team ran for 338. Week 1 year 2, I played Michigan and Robinson who ran for 25 yds as a team while he threw 22-26 (or something like that) for 350+ yds with 2 deflections and 2 dropped passes.

Re: All people do is run the ball online!!!

Running the ball is now considered cheese (per the op)

Wow, this thread is pathetic. I've heard it all.

For ages, us online players have been bitching about the scramblers and four verts guys. But these people who....gasp....****n the ball....THEY'RE THE WORST.

haha, op your record is respectable but you need to stop being pathetic on d.
