If Alabama escaped the death penalty in the early part of the millennium, there is no reason to implement it now.

Also, I used to hand out the death penalty in prior games, and basically what I would do is create a coach and during the Change Positions screen, everyone would either be a K or P, then they would all get cut, and the team would be filled with 40-50 OVR walk-ons

Doesn't matter though. I think one guy said it best when he compared the death penalty to the nuclear bomb... once the NCAA saw what it did to SMU, they won't use it again.

What's this current obsession with as soon as a school is even under speculation of NCAA violations(which at this point means absolute squat) everyone screams "DEATH PENATLY!!!!1111oneeleven"

The most I'd do to them is edit the rosters accordingly to make them miss a bowl a season or two(they'll most likely get recruiting restrictions and a two year bowl ban, no more, possibly less.)
