Why doesn't someone confirm this by calling or chatting with EA's customer service?

Sorry I didn't post earlier. I called in, said I had heard that someone asked customer support about and they told him it was to be released September 7th. The guy put me on hold, said they submitted the patch for approval and have no timetable on when the patch will be out. He said whoever said September 7th is wrong, they don't know. He did say it should be within the next week however. So some good news.

Khomdrom: Sorry but we do no have any official updates about it .
Me: Nothing official yet? Has it been released to Sony at this point? Is that known?
Khomdrom: I am really sorry that I cannot provide you the any information as we do not have any single information about it .
Me: Thanks.
Khomdrom: But if you want to know more I would recommend you to post your concern to the official forum .

I don't want to wait anymore. If I just use the rosters that come with the game and auto generate it, everything should be fine right? As long as I don't touch anything till the patch.

Outside of that, I can get 2 seasons in before the patch drops and than just patch up and continue going, right?

Sure - you can play it and have a great time. I'm having a good enough time playing. For me the instability issues are the biggest concern. One out of three games has to be played over due to freezing. It is crazy.

But as long as I don't use a downloaded roster or edit the players, my recruiting class tendencies won't be affected?

Yeah. I don't see why a patch would take almost 3 weeks to be approved by Sony. Someone needs to lay down the hammer on this guy who claims they told him Sept. 7.
