What happens to cut players?

Are cut players just permanently deleted or do they become walk-ons or JUCO recruits?

They're completely deleted. It's always been like that. Of course that doesn't make any sense, but that's how it goes.

They go to live on a farm with your old family pets. There they are free to play as much football as they like.

Re: What happens to cut players?

At first I was annoyed that good players just get deleted when they are cut, but think about how complex it would get to have them transfer to other schools. It would almost turn into a situation like the coaching carousel. After teams cut down to 70 they would have to do more cuts if someone wanted to transfer to their team... at what point would that end?

I think a cool way they could do this is to have a "waiver wire" list created after cuts. Any player cut by a team would be placed on this list, and then a team could offer them a scholarship and have them sit out a year, without affecting their roster size.

With editing being open you could always just edit them on to another team if you wanted those guys to still be kicking around somewhere.
