Do DB Ratings Even Matter?

None of those ratings matter only thing that matters is speed and even the fastest guys get burned off the line quite a bit. But seems like the fastest guys make the most plays they get the picks lots of break ups tackles etc.

Hey, we had to wait almost 2 months, so what's a week of editing to get your game to play like you want it?

Edits in Dynasty are much easier because in-game generated players ratings are much lower and in-line with SPD/ACC being the two main insane ratings that need to be edited the most.

Edit of an initial roster is one thing, having to wash and repeat with every freshman class because of EA's incompetence? No thanks.

You are wrong, other ratings do make the difference as others have indicated, prob is 90% of the DB's in the game are high enough in the ratings that do make a difference, that nearly all DB's on the CPU side play virtually the same whether bringing a 90 or a 60 overall rating to battle.

The one thing when it comes to NCAA and Madden. Ratings don't matter with the AI.The AI always stick with your WR step for step most of the time. I wish ratings did count. But it doesn't and probably want for long time to come.

beyond the initial edit that does the entire ncaa, if i do a dynasty i would only edit my conference or studs for heisman/league leaders

It seems that if all the people that did roster edits combined their knowledge to work on one file we could get an even better playing game, even if it's only for one season in dynasty or Play Now games.
