The one time I tried to play a dynasty with ithem all toned down, I got a HC offer from Alabama after one season as Marshall's OC, and a 5-7 record.
Ugh, so house rules? You have to turn down the first ten offers? This game...

By any chance do you remember how the rest of the carousel turned out? I like seeing other (semi-notable) coaches move around just as much as working my own way, i just want to have a fair shot!

I do not, when that happened I ended the dynasty and started editing the coaches back up. This game really needs a reset button for rosters, and the coaches need to be a separate roster file.

i don't think that's what most are saying.

i've gone thru 28 seasons with two different dynasties and the offer logic is messed up. (this was all pre-tuning though, don't know how well it works now)

if you spend 5-10 yrs and win 10-12 games a year you should get decent job offers, but you don't i've tried it being a head coach and also as a coordinator. it seems you get more offers actually being a coordinator.

people usually counter that by saying something like "well if you do well at oklahoma, ohio state doesn't think they can get you so they don't offer.

and this is total BS, because as you end the carousel it doesn't stop ULL, mia of OH, marshall, etc from offering HC and coord jobs. you end up declining like 20 jobs that are waaaay beneath you. but no one on your level or slightly above offers you a job and you probably don't get offers from teams slightly below you.

it's infuriating. i like to play the game and bounce around a bit. go somewhere, build them up (or take over someone established), win a nc, and leave. but even as a A+ coach or coord this becomes very difficult.

it's a video game, i should be able to do this. if i want to be realistic then i would just turn down unrealistic jobs.

I'm like 5 seasons in and can't get a decent job offer to save my life as an A+ coach.

It's pretty annoying to feel stuck with one particular school when you kind of want to change it up.
that's exactly what they did. you had a better chance before they installed CC.

i love the idea of CC, but am so disappointed. and i defend this game every year and overall i like the game. but i'll probably start playing madden alot sooner this year.

Re: Coaching Progression not fixed

Proof positive just how broken it is.

A+ Prestige, 2 National Titles, 3 Conference Titles, 2 Coach of the year awards all in the space of 5 years.

Contract is up, I feel Ive done all I can at the current school... time to move on, right?

The only HC offer I got was from Western Kentucky.

Oh, and Nick Saban, Jimbo Fisher, and Mack Brown are all coordinators now in this dynasty.

Yep... this whole coaching carousel works GREAT... good job EA... idiots.

Re: Coaching Progression not fixed

Four of us in our OD, started before 2nd patch:

Me (OC):

W. Michigan -> SD St -> Ole Miss -> Michigan -> Ball St (HC)

Guy 1 (OC):

Ball St -> Kansas -> Baylor (HC)

Guy 2 (DC):

Army -> Oregon St -> TCU (HC)

Guy 3 (DC):

Temple -> Texas -> Florida St (HC)

So the contracts seem to work just fine. For us, anyway.

(BTW, I turned down other jobs to turn Ball State into a dynasty. )

Re: Coaching Progression not fixed

Are people turning off contracts when playing their dynasty because of this?

Re: Coaching Progression not fixed

I should have for my offline dynasty, but I didn't. Now I can't turn them off without restarting but I don't want to to do that.
