I think the Notre Dame AD would have trouble keeping a straight face if asked this question. Irish don't care about Boston College and Pittsburgh (and given the BC isn't in the Big East, why would they be asking the Irish to join the Big East?)

I'm gonna play devils advocate here for a moment and say I don't know if it's that big a laugher.

In our dynasty they're coming off a year in which they barely became bowl eligible and they're barely going to make it again this year. If they continue that trend even the mighty Notre Dame could need the comfort of a conference.

How does sacrificing their major TV deals, giving up the chance to make a TV network, and giving up their rivalry games help them? ND hasn't been great for a few years now, and they don't seem to want to join a conference.

I heard on ESPN last month that the school officials had discussed the possibility. And I'm sure that in our dynasty scenario the big east would make ridiculous concessions to expand as it's current members are demanding.

Not saying they would, just pointing put the possibility.
