OD Coaching Strategy
Has anyone noticed that adjusting your coaching sliders even as a coordinator affects the side of the ball the CPU controls for your team?
I'm playing as an OC in my online dynasty and have had a tough time against the CPU in games because of poor defensive play. It feels as though I need to score on every drive because my defense doesn't hold their own. I decided to change my coaching strategy settings for defense even though I had no control over the defense and their play calls. My first game after adjusting the settings for pass vs. run, aggressiveness and substitutions I was able to hold a #1 ranked Oklahoma to 20 points with my Ole Miss team. Granted I tried my best to make plays on offense so that I could control the clock, but my defense make stops on a regular basis. The CPU scored all 20 points in the 3rd quarter and my defense held them scoreless for the other 3 quarters. I'm curious if coaching settings affect the simulated aspects of the game even though we are "only responsible" for being an OC or DC. We're able to recruit, edit the depth chart and edit the formation subs. Maybe our coaching strategy is also tied to how the CPU makes calls in our games.
If so, adjust your settings if you're noticing that your team is struggling.
