Re: Major Flaw with Recruiting

You guys might hate it but this is what I do. I just make two or so 5 star QB's, a couple 5 star linemen or DB's every year and make them from different places around the country. Usually that spreads them out evenly.

I'm sure MORE 5 stars is not what you're looking for but it's what I found that makes it a little better/more fun.

Except when LSU/Bama gets all the linemen...

That's a pretty good idea, I just wonder if the game will automatically balance out the number of 5-star recruits. For example, if I create 15 prospects who are all 5-stars, will the AI create less of its own 5-stars to balance it out? Or will I simply have an amazing recruiting class that year?

Re: Major Flaw with Recruiting

I went back and played NCAA 08 the other day, because that was the last year I truly remember loving recruiting. The top 5 prospects in the nation were a SS, a QB, 2 WR's and a T. That game really had it right when it comes to randomness of the recruits, and recruit ratings overall. I wish they'd go back to something similar

This is how EA runs the show. Hardly fix problems we care about and screw up what they have right.

Re: Major Flaw with Recruiting

Does anyone know why EA stopped giving players high school stats?

I think the main problem is that they're using the SPARQ rating this year and not Rivals. SPARQ rates basically for athleticism, something WR/HBs excel at. Basically, it's not a good rating system to have recruiting built around. They need to go back to Rivals or something if they want even 5*s and not just skill positions.
