Just got game...have a few questions

I have played ncaa since the Bill walsh days, but didn't pick up this years version until last week.

Got a few questions/observations:

1. Started Dynasty as Purdue and played Rice week 2, got CRUSHED 24-0, out-yardaged 342-136. Played AA with 8 minute quarters using SOS's sliders, but had to adjust them as they were too hard and still got smacked by Rice. I've lost to Rice three times now and so will just sim it to move on. I am using a custom Pistol/Spread playbook and try to run option out of it, but the defense is everywhere, and Rice is rated as a D. Am I doing somehting wrong or missing something? I used to smack these type teams in old verisons (even last years). I was 20-14 with Akron before scoring late to win in week 1.

2. Does read option work in this game? Any option for that matter?

3. What do I need to know about this game that others have already figured out? Any tips or helpful advice?

Thanks for the help and insight.

The read option is a lost cause.

Re: Just got game...have a few questions

I run out of the spread, but i dont use read options... takes to long to develop.

Run Dives and counters. especially out of the flex formations. Power options sometimes work. But running out of the shotgun is effective.

Good to know about the read.

So dives and powers out of Shotgun work best? The Buck sweep has given me some success, but nhot alot.

And I expect to get beat by many big ten teams this year, but not rice and Akron.

Thanks and keep the advice coming.

You can run the read option, I run it with a lot of success.

Read option only works for me on occasion. Only when I've got numbers on the line though. Anything out of pistol is garbage. There's a terrible animation out of that formation that takes FOREVER.

To thread starter, toy around with diff read options in practice before you give up on them. There are a couple that work for me but many that don't
