Which is fine and respectable, venting about your woes with a game is fine and appreciated (to a reasonable extent, which I'm sure this is)...but the thing I stuck to originally is why come back months later? I can understand coming in a couple weeks after you've stopped to share and collaborate with others about your opinions (as I've done on countless other forums over the years with the MLB 2K series, and Madden in the last 3-4 years), but awhile afterwards it just seems a little random and out-of-the-blue almost?

Overall, I think this post may have gone over better and not gotten so much negativity flowing if the reasoning given later on was given at first...it clarified for me what the OP was feeling and it at least gave me an understanding of what he was going through. Versus a random post months after he stopped playing the game.

While I don't agree with the OP's post, I certainly respect it and if I came off as otherwise...I apologize for that. (Truth be told I felt the same way about Madden last year, I ended up seeing enough improvement to buy it...barely) To each his own and let's all be friends again lol...we're all good people here and all this negativity around this forum towards each other recently is bumming me out

I think a lot of people need to realize that this is a video game and not real football, thus CAN NOT be perfect. Once you get that in your head, this game is one of the best sports game ever made.

I too, like the original poster, have stopped playing the game. Sold mine back in November. First time that has ever happened. I've been playing football games since 10 Yard Fight and Tecmo Bowl. I can live without a perfect game. However, this game was unplayable at times due to the no huddle and the constant freezing. His opinion and mine matter because we want a game that is playable at release. I won't spend my money on it next year. If the NCAA Football Series becomes like the NCAA Basketball series or NBA Live (no longer around), it will be due to people not buying the game because of a poor product. I don't see this happening, but it is just a game...a game I and others will no longer spend our money on.

I don't think the OP, or people like him (me included), are upset with this game because it isn't "perfect." No game is ever going to be perfect. There will always be flaws and quirks to a video game. However, we're talking about the franchise that took five years to even make the acceleration and agility ratings mean anything, and it still doesn't do a very good job at it. There are so many basic fundamentals of football that either aren't even close to being realistic in this game, or are absent entirely, that to some of us these games don't qualify as a football "simulator" anymore than NBA Jam qualifies as a basketball simulator. Sure you can still have fun with the game. But it's not going to satisfy the sim crowd.

I'm in a similar boat as the OP. I gave up on NCAA 11 pretty quickly, skipped NCAA 12 almost entirely (rented it from the local video store for 4 days), and don't have much hope of being back for NCAA 13. I'm pretty well convinced that I'm going to have to wait for the next gen of consoles and hope EA makes some major changes.
