Best Comebacks?
I've gone away from my dynasty for a while because I like variety and change so I'm trying out some mediocre teams in exhibiition.
Yesterday I decided to try out West Virginia since I know their quarterback is quite athletic(Marshall is the last name). After a shaky start against Boston College, I went into the 4th quarter trailing buy 12 after giving up some huge plays. I started out the quarter strong puting a score on the board that cut the lead to 5, but they responded right back making the game an 11 point difference again. Knowing that I needed to score, I let my quarterback control the game, giving him the option to run(obviously I actually gave myself a strong option to run). I again scored cutting the lead back to 5 points. With around 3 minutes left, I kicked the ball away, trailing by 5. After snuffing the return, I forced them to punt the ball away giving me 1 and a half minutes to go down field for a touchdown. I made my way accross the 50 and after a few short yardage plays I got the ball at around the 30. On first down I threw an ill adviced pass that was broken up. On second down I tried to buy time but instead was sacked for a 12 yards loss. 3rd and 22 I try my favorite play but to my disliking, my reciever drops the ball. 4th and 22 with around 20 seconds left, I have to go for it. I spot the a safety moving up and find that the other safety is the only one patrolling the deep zone. My number one reciever runs a fly route. I hit him in stride and he catches the ball in the endzone for the score! The first deep ball I had completed all game was for a touchdown. The 2 point conversion is good and with only 13 seconds they are unable to drive down the field and the Mountainiers win! I outscored the Eagles 22-7 in the fourth quarter. My quarterback was player of the game with 125 yards passing, 95 yards rushing, and 2 total touchdowns. It's number 4 on my all time list, though I'm not sure of the greatness score.
Anyone else make a great comeback they can recall?
