I agree with this. The past few years they usually have shown very short clips. The majority of the show is usually focused on non sports games.

Definitely don't have my hopes up for anything you mentioned, especially double team pass blocking.

Ok, I just went back and looked at pre-release footage of NCAA 12, was really shocked to see how rose colored my glasses are during this time of year. I am not trying to bash the game or be a killjoy to anyone because I believe NCAA/Madden 13 will have significant changes circa FIFA tech. However, I am pointing out how I somehow overlooked or blocked out obvious issues with NCAA 12 gameplay, in pre-release videos and when playing the demo. I really am starting to believe EA marketing is ingenious. lol

I think part of it is because we want a better game and try to be optimistic about the game "feeling" different than what it looks like and that there is still more "tuning" to be done before release. The other part is probably the synergy (shout out to DaCzar from last Friday's show) that is created pre-release, in spite of the rational and overly negative, minority.

Looking back just reminded me how easy it is to get caught up in the "hype", regardless if that hype is merited or not. Note to self.
