I think it's because Bray hasn't beaten a solid team yet, he puts up big numbers in OOC games but hasn't shown up against Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, etc.

and Bray has the best receiver corp in the SEC, maybe even the country, this year in Hunter, Rogers, and Patterson.. but if they can't establish a running game like last year, it won't really matter and Tennessee might be looking for a new coach

Re: Spring Football Chat

Tyler Wilson looked great in the game today. They said ND's Colson looked great and is the best chance to win now. They compared him to Vick, but said he is more of a PP.
I saw/heard PSU QBs looked average at best. I know they already have a good QB signed in the '13 classs.

I was able to go to the game today. Some things I noticed

Marlin Lane was great. Ran for over 100 yds on 9 carries. Hopefully he can be a contributer and help provide a solid run game this year.

Bray and Worley were solid. Neither made any big mistakes other than one INT by Worley. Bray had some nice passes and did a good job with not forcing the ball into coverage. The receivers really struggled getting open though...

WR depth is very poor. Da'Rick Rogers was really the only good WR on the field. After him, Cody Blanc and walk-on Jacob Carter were the only receivers who did anything. We need Hunter to get healthy and some of the incoming recruits to be able to contribute immediately.

We are deep at TE. Mychal Rivera, Cam Clear, and Brendan Downs all played well.

Steven Fowlkes may finally contribute this year at DE. He was one of the better pass rushers on the field.

Jacques Smith really did not play well at all. Willie Bohannon or Jordan Williams will pass him at the JACK position if he does not step his game up.

The DBs played well. We are finally 2 deep at corner with Waggner, Lanier, Coleman, and Gordon. Randolph is going to be good at safety.

LBs will be good if we stay healthy. Johnson and Lathers are good and of course Maggitt. We just don't have much depth behind them.

Special teams is a huge concern. Palardy is really struggling at K.

Overall, I think we will be much improved this year. We finally have some depth and I think team chemistry appears to be better.
