Me too. My hope is that because they've had to increase the scheduling logic to 123, they've gone the extra mile to at least take it up to 128 (a nice number giving it's use in computing) 5 extra schools would make the WAC exits easier to replicate.

Pretty sure my classic alignments from last year are still valid...

Thanks for putting those together. A great resource, and really helpful in putting together pseudo-historical alignments.

I like the idea of doing a late 80s alignment since that's when I first started watching football, but then doing some conferences that weren't officially around then but had scheduling agreements between the team and such.

Those would be the Northeastern independents (Penn State, Pitt, Temple, Rutgers, BC, WVU and Syracuse, and then maybe throw in UConn and UMass as cannon fodder) and the old Metro conference (Cincy, Memphis, Louisville, Tulane, FSU, Va Tech, Southern Miss and South Carolina). I was also reading about a proposed Super Metro conference which would have been basically those 15 teams and Miami in 2 divisions. The dynamic conference prestige should help these leagues out if they implement it properly.

Probably needs work with the additional 3 teams, but that is minor compared to the initial project. And if there is the same 12 team replacement, wouldn't change much.

Re: YOUR plans for Conference Re-Alignment

Another Custom Conference possibility:

First, I ranked all the teams by the number of wins that they have in the past 4 years(08-11). For Ohio State fans, if you have vacated victories, those numbers don't count. So if NCAA 13 DID have violations, then teams would be penalized in the future, but more on that a bit later. So I ranked the teams by the number of wins they have, and then by the number of losses they have. Then, if they are still tied, then rank them by their most recent season until the tiebreaker is broken. Conference 1 has teams ranked 1-12. Conference 2 has teams ranked 13-24, and etc. There is 8 12-team conferences and 3 9-team conferences. I would rerank these every 4 years.

Conference 1
1 Boise St
2 Alabama
3 TCU
4 Oregon
5 Oklahoma
6 Virginia Tech
7 Oklahoma St
8 Utah
9 LSU
10 Florida
11 USC
12 Wisconsin

Move Louisville and FSU to the Big12, then figure out the rest.
