With that said, Auburn's offense and defense are too high, West Virginia's offense and defense are too low, Wisconsin is a bit overrated, Tulsa is very overrated, Texas is overrated on O and D, Notre Dame's offense needs a little working on, Sparty's defense needs a boost, Maryland's D needs to drop, Geogia's O needs an upgrade, and Clemson's and Baylor's defenses could use a drop in ratings are the things that pop out to me. Although almost every team will have lower ratings in my rosters.
97 is an A+

Rutgers with an 83 offense seems a little high, but 87 defense seems low to me.

Re: NCAA Football '13-Team Ratings

I am fine with the rank of my team. Seems pretty close. I probably would have went 1 higher on O and maybe 1 higher on D.

What doesn't make sense to me is how are the three new teams not the lowest ranked in the game?

They don't have the depth of the FBS level. Even FAU and Memphis should have more FCS talent and depth than three teams moving up from FBS.

Going back to which ratings are shown, Texas' special teams rating cannot possibly be on the chart. Justin Tucker was their kicker, punter, and kickoff guy, and he's gone. There's no way they recieved a 90 anything for their special teams.
linebackers are if anything easil replacable and didnt make a huge different in the teams success. just look at when the linebackers got drafted. texas d will be the best in the nation

Re: NCAA Football '13-Team Ratings

Looking at the team specific rosters on TSO, I can't speak to any other teams, but what they show of Nebraska's squad seems pretty solid. Taylor Martinez's awareness should probably be in the 70's and his break tackle should be 15, otherwise the rest of guys seem to be rated fairly decently.

I don't know how EA calculates OVR., OFF, and DEF, but they don't seem to correlate directly to what the individual ratings of the players are. Maybe those ratings are just in direct comparison to the other teams. A team may have 99 OFF, but it doesn't mean that that team is a super great offensive juggernaut, they're just on par with the best in college football for that year.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Linebackers are not easily replacable, especially seniors who recieved significant playing time for three years. On top of their fourth leading tackler safety Blake Gideon. Not to mention Randall, their best tackle. This is a defense that gave up 48 to Baylor, and 30+ points to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Overall, they allowed 22 points a game. Compare that to LSU, who gave up 11 points a game, shut down good offenses unlike Texas, and lose players who had backups play significant minutes even in big games.

Texas should have one of the better defenses in CFB, but not the best. LSU, Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan State, and Virginia Tech arguably have better defenses, while South Carolina and Rutgers are right at Texas' level.
