Re: Demo Juke Move

I'm getting kinda annoyed at having a one on one with a safety

Re: Demo Juke Move

Not a fan of the new juke move at all. Too sluggish and clunky. It looked worse in some of the early videos a month or so ago.

I like a subtle juke and more of a hop juke for the higher level RBs, WRs and QBs. I would love to see a little stutter with a wiggle really.

Re: Demo Juke Move

In general the jukes are either too big, slow and drawn out or too small and subtle to be effective. The reason they aren't as effective as they could be IMO is because tackles are sped up and they have a huge tackle radius. The large tackle radius coupled with a lack of momentum makes those one on one opportunities wins more often than not for the tackler. A tackler can be coming at you full speed where his momentum should carry him beyond the ball carrier but when you juke the tackle animation kicks in and it engulfs you. And its a picture perfect tackle every time.

Maybe it'll be tweaked in the retail version since they're hyping special moves but, when the dude from EA was showing Heisman Challenge and couldn't even juke with Barry Sanders in Matrix mode I figured not much if anything has been done with the juke. I mean Barry could make you miss in a phone booth.

Some years ago the jukes, spins, etc were a tad bit overdone but instead of small tweaks in true EA fashion they tend to nuke things and we end up with running while twisting your torso.

Re: Demo Juke Move

I actually was liking the jukes. The old juke move has always been unrealistic. It made every player Barry Sanders

Agreed. Depending on how you pressed the button you would get a different juke. I miss the short quick juke to cut to space.
