Should Create-A-Play/Formation Ever return?

I agree. EA needs to keep all the old features & add new features. None of the other games that I play remove key elements like NCAA. It's frustrating.

Absolutely, but only if it were a modular design rather than free form. Meaning each position has a list of available pre-determined alignments on the field and a list of available pre-determined actions post snap. That way everything was still standardized but giving everyone a way to customize their basic formations and routes. Each WR should have every single route available to him and you could just select them.

To be honest, a fair compromise to this would be customizable hot routes. Have a sub-menu of the Controls menu where you can select from like 25 different routes to assign to the 8 hot route spots on the sticks. That would certainly help bridge the gap towards custom plays.

Agreed, the plays need to be reasonable I remember on the old generation xbox on madden 08 I ran a remarkable offense.

It seems like it's been mentioned on here before, but if they did return this feature, it should be something that is done on the computer (a la teambuilder) rather than on the console. I remember this feature many years ago and it was very tedious to put together on the console. Imagine if we could easily free-form routes or formations with the click of a mouse. It would be much faster and easier. Plus, it'd all be custom.

I agree with that, but mentioned earlier, cheesers would make it a bad feature. Unless we can report the play and creator.
