The Progression Thread 2013.

Just thought I'd get one started as I'll have the game tomorrow afternoon thanks to season pass. Seems like an annual tradition for me, and I look forward to it.

After playing the demo more I have high hopes for this game (in slow mode... demo too fast!).

I hope the results are good and the recruiting is smart.

New to this years thread: I will try and see how the bust/diamond in the rough gimmick works

Re: The Progression Thread 2013.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. I'm pretty encouraged about recruiting this year. Last year I felt too many recruits came in rated too low and progressed too little.

From the early videos I've seen, it looks like recruits will come in with slightly higher ratings. Hopefully progression is tweaked and leads to rosters down the road that more closely resemble the baseline of the original.

Also, tendencies for recruits are allegedly fixed. That's great if true.

I just pray we don't have a situation like several years ago where down the line they're are like 50+ players with 99 overalls each year.

I'm hoping they avoid this too. It seems like they either have guys end up rated too high or too low.

While this may not be ideal, it's so much better than the year where the very best teams were 85 overall.

I disagree. I'd rather have teams rated too poorly than rated too high.

I will have to agree with you too. If everyone's around 85 its better than having everyone be 99's (AKA superstars). At least in my opinion.

Re: The Progression Thread 2013.

Last year we had issues where the coaching progression was bad, with lots of A+ coaches leading to lots of 99 overalls. Could you also attempt to keep track of this, especially because it ties directly into the progression issues of the players?
