Upon starting a dynasty and filling out my recruit board, I make sure I turn off all the assistance options for recruiting.

However, when I advance from pre-season to week 1, the majority of my players have been scouted already. I've tried both not scouting anyone during the pre-season, and also have tried mixed levels of scouting with some or all the players and it makes no difference.

Has anyone else seen this or found a way to stop it?

Really doesn't make sense to turn that off and I'm not sure if you can. I played around with it last night, and the scouting time allotted is different than the call time. You can actually scout in the preseason board but not call recruits. They give you 20 hrs. If you don't use the scouting hours then you'll never know the true ratings. I guess someone might want to but don't see why.

I would just like to be the one deciding who gets scouted and how much time goes to them. I don't like anything with my team to be simmed or done by the CPU if I can control it.

Just wondering if this is one of those things I can control or not I guess.

I agree with you if they cpu has anything to do with my team it bothers me, like when I accidently leave on the recuriting assistance I get lost and confused on who I added. But idk if it automaticaly does it or not.

You lose the hours if you don't use them don't you?. If so That's why the CPU does that

I'm guessing it happened because you didn't realize you had the ability to scout during preseason. If so then I guess I'd rather have that happen, then have 20 hrs of scouting time go unused. Once it hit week 1 I only 3 hrs of scouting per week and it doesn't carry over.

Are you sure they are scouted, how do you know?

It gives a percentage scouted. Also ratins change from letter grades to numbers after scouting.
