Not a gem but my SO Starter in year 3 at Texas State was a 3* Scrambler who originally was 63 but after scouting was a 68. After a full season as a starter and an offseason of training he is a 75 SO.

Re: Recruiting Gems and Busts

I've come across a Bust, not sure to continue recruiting him or not. Maurice Ryan. 2* G 6'6 288. Rating is 68 (-5). Big Red Down arrow and BUST scrolling across the scouted section of the screen.

I have a current qb recruit with the gem tag yes. Can't say anything further as I'm still recruiting him.

I'm not a fan of them telling you he is a gem. I wish they would wait til you have signed him to a scholarship.

They only put the "gem" tag on the guy after your scouting has revealed him to be +6 or higher from the original rating. If you do your work in scouting it pays off big time.

Oh ok that makes sense. It sounded like they just tell you the recruit is a gem. But that makes more sense.
