Why can't the CPU get called for Intentional Grounding?

Every time the CPU throws the ball away, even in the middle of the pocket or right after the snap, there's no flag. Sometimes it looks like there was a "receiver in the area", but I've seen balls grounded out of bounds where every WR was on the other side of the field. Why is it the CPU doesn't take a penalty for this?

That's still happening? That was one of the most frustrating things in 2012 for me. QB is trapped in the pocket by the blitz, but then throws the ball to the 10th row of the stands. A throw that is a penalty and a loss of down for the human player, nothing but an incomplete for the CPU.

It seemed that happened at least 3-4 times per game.

I still see this too. It doesn't bother me much, but it is an issue. What I find funny about it is when the CPU should throw the ball away, like when a free blitzer is barreling down on the QB, they don't. But when the pocket gets squeezed down int a tight U shape around the QB quickly after the snap, out goes the ball into the stands.

Because the geniuses at EA think the only available penalties in college football are offsides and holding.
