My thoughts exactly. He's alright with throwing as well. Though I think scrambling is highly overrated and makes the game so boring. Though once the games defensive structure evolves far enough to where they can feasibly guard against the scramble, then I'll be ok with it. As it stands right now though? Way too easy to cheese because the AI turns into grapefruit when a QB scrambles.

You realize football has been around since before the year 2008 right?

Someone already said Tommie Frazier. Best pure running QB I've ever seen in college was probably Michael Vick. Darian Hagan was pretty special.

Denard's a special player but best rushing QB of all time, that's tough to justify.

Aside from the examples from the past, I'll go homer and say Cam Newton. He had the straight line and lateral speed to make 50 or 60-yard TD runs, and he was a power runner, at 6'6 250.

Denard wears Cam Newton pajamas.

Denard has much better statistics than Frazier.

Different era, different offenses. The majority of Denard's yards come from broken plays where he has lots of daylight.

Frazier's runs were designed, and a lot of times he would gain yards and pitch it on the option, surrendering the rushing yards for that play to the RB.

love me some Cam, but now you're just inviting Cam haters to flock in here and start chanting Scam Newton.
